WRAPA Charts Strategic Path for 2026-2035 with a Two-Part Planning Retreat

WRAPA, with the support of the Ford Foundation, convened a two-day Board of Trustees Strategic Planning Retreat on February 25-26, 2025. This retreat provided a vital platform for strengthening governance, enhancing strategic oversight, and setting the course for WRAPA’s 2026-2035 Strategic Plan. Over the two days, Board members and key stakeholders engaged in in-depth discussions focused on:

  1. Reviewing the milestones and lessons from WRAPA’s 2014-2025 Strategic Plan
  2. Strengthening governance, leadership, and resource mobilization strategies
  3. Enhancing succession planning and organizational development
  4. Mapping out WRAPA’s long-term vision and strategic roadmap toward 2035

The key discussions during the meeting centred on:

HaJ. Saudatu Mahdi MFR, WRAPA Secretary General

a. Strengthening internal capacity b. Enhancing governance structures c. Ensuring sustainability in programming, advocacy, and service delivery
