WRAPA’S IFL Project Kicks off Phase III of the project; A One Day Institutional Consultation Meeting With Imamate Institution.

WRAPA’s Islamic Family Law (IFL) Project, funded by MacArthur Foundation, held a one day institutional consultation meeting with the imamate institution of Jigawa State in Dutse, Jigawa State.

The event was graced by the Secretary to the State Government, Jigawa State representing the Governor of Jigawa State, The Emir of Dutse and the Imamate Institution of Jigawa State, comprising of 30 imams, 10 imams from each three senatorial zones of Jigawa State.‎

WRAPA Holds Field Sensitization Launch For the PSSGE Project

WRAPA in collaboration with its partners,CITAD & Adopt -a-Camp on the ” Promoting Safety & Security for the Girl-child Education( PSSGE)”, funded by MacArthur Foundation conducted a launch of the project today in Damaturu Yobe state.
 
The event that marked the Flag-off of the project took place at the state secretariat Damaturu, with key stakeholders in attendance namely: the Nigerian Security and Defence Corp, the Nigerian Police Force. The Hon. Comm of Education  President of CAN,Chief Imam of Yobe state, School Management Board Committee, a host of CSOs,,Teachers, Parents & most importantly,some female school pupils.
 
These pupils in attendance addressed the gathering on the importance of promoting safety & security for girl child education,the need and benefit.

WRAPA’s PSSGE Project Embarks on Courtesy Visit to the Ministries of Women Affairs, Education and Secretary to the State Government, Yobe State.

WRAPA in collaboration with its partners, CITAD and ADOPT-A-CAMP on the project Promote Safety and Security for the Girl-child Education (PSSGE) in the North East, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women Affairs and Secretary to the State Government in Damaturu, Yobe State.

This is to actualize WRAPA’s mandate to scale up interest and enrollment of the girl child in school. The project launch is happening today with the endorsement of key stakeholders across state and non-state actors.
